Iran is doing what it wants to do, around the world.
Apparently, it started one nuclear reactor after the United States Department of State and The White House agreed to no more than 5% enrichment of Uranium ore and is making plans to build another. Also, Iran wanted to be a part of resolving the Syrian situation next door.
It baffles peoples’ imaginations why Iran should be allowed to continue enrichment at all if it does not recognize Israel as a legitimate nation-state and is not fully open to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors when advancing complex and dangerous technologies – especially after Fukushima, Japan – and to whose fallout no country, advanced or developing, is immune.
It is unclear what the American position is on the Iranian nuclear program anymore since Obama was caught on candid camera waiting ‘to be or not to be’ reelected American president to get some “flexibility” with Dmitry Medvedev, now former president of Russia, whose assignments, after Vladimir Putin took over once again as the Russian president, are more to oversee children’s activities at suburban Moscow Sanatoriums.
That which is clear, however, is that some in the United States are blaming Iran for the Houla massacre. It is indeed possible that Iran was involved.
This interesting development, given Obama’s assertion to the news media that he will not flinch to go to war with Iran if the country does not yield to international demands for full openness on its nuclear program, raises the specter of war with both Iran and Syria in the Middle East should violence in Syria not end. After all, a coalition of 70 nations are backing the Syrian National Council (SNC) in what amounts to a response to Iran’s nuclear summit of nations in Tehran in 2010 just after the Obama nuclear summit in Washington.
Syria is a pawn in the battle over Israel and Palestine and global denuclearization.
